I purchased a Christening gown for my son from Smocked Treasures in 2007. Being old fashioned, I wanted a gown for my son to wear. After searching the internet, I found Marianne's website. I fell in love with the Embroidered Cross Christening Gown and was amazed at how beautiful it was when I received it. Her work is wonderful! The slip underneath was embroidered with my son's name and his Christening date. It is truly a work of art. When my second son arrived, I contacted her to have his name added to the slip. For a VERY nominal fee, she did the extra work for me. She is one of the nicest people I have ever done business with. Heirloom quality detailed christening romper is available in short, knicker or long leg length as well as short or long sleeves. Detachable button on bib has embroidered cross detail in all white, all ivory or with pale blue accents. Pintucks adorn the sleeves, front yoke and collar. Romper has a double row of buttons on the back yoke to adjust the size. Includes matching cap style bonnet with optional brim. Available in white or ivory in the following fabrics: linen batiste, satin, silk dupione, shantung, Irish Linen or cotton batiste. Inside romper leg cuff can be personalized with baby's name and christening date and future names added as well. Irish accents can be added to all items on this website. **New embroidered cross designs to choose from.
