The Hail Mary prayer can be embroidered and added to many of the christening gowns, blankets and First Holy communion dresses along the hemline or border and is a wonderful way to wrap baby or young communicant in the Blessed Mother's care. It is available in your choice of thread color including white, ivory, pale pink or pale blue (or your color choice: for example, Irish prayers/verses can be done in Kelly green). Cost of adding the embroidered prayer to any item is an additional $100.
**New ~ embroidered prayers can be added to the front (in paragraph form) of many of the christening gown designs & blankets. New designs will be added in the near future!
Special requests for your choice of prayer, psalm or Bible verses are welcome. The following are several suggestions for appropriate prayers to be added to many of the christening gowns & other items on this website.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Blessed Virgin Mary,
Queen of Heaven and Earth,
to your Immaculate Heart,
the channel of all graces,
we consecrate this child whom
we have received from God's goodness.
A Gaelic Christening Blessing
Dearest Father in Heaven,
Bless this child and bless this day
Of new beginnings.
Smile upon this child
And surround this child, Lord,
With the soft mantle of your love.
Teach this child to follow in your footsteps,
And to live life in the ways of
Love, faith, hope and charity.
Guardian Angel Prayer
Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
